About Us
CROPS4HD is an international collaborative project of three NGOs co-funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, Global Programme Food Security. Starting in 2021, it will run for ten years. CROPS4HD collaborators are SWISSAID, FiBL, and AFSA.
SWISSAID
SWISSAID is a SWISS NGO, aiming to improve the living conditions and creating opportunities of disadvantaged people in rural areas in Africa, Asia and Latin America. SWISSAID is committed to sustainably transform local food systems ensuring access to food through agroecology and gender equality.
FiBL
The Research Institute of Organic Agriculture (FiBL) is one of the world’s leading institutes in the field of organic agriculture. Its locations are situated in Switzerland, Germany, Austria, France and a representation in Brussels (Belgium) through FiBL Europe. FiBL’s strengths lie in its interdisciplinary research, innovations developed jointly with farmers and the food industry, solution-oriented development projects and rapid knowledge transfer from research into practice.
AFSA
The Alliance for Food Sovereignty in Africa (AFSA) is a broad alliance of different civil society actors that are part of the struggle for food sovereignty and agroecology in Africa. These include: African farmers’ organizations, African NGO networks, specialist African NGOs, consumer movements in Africa, international organizations which support the stance of AFSA, and individuals.
